Hair care is one of the most important things to a confident person. Now most of the people are suffering from hair loss. Hair fall and shedding are considered naturally bodily process that we all go through. But excessive hair loss causes permanent baldness in most individuals. Excessive hair loss which is approximately 100 hairs a day might have been caused by inherited factors, medications, aging, hair care, disease, stress or injury. Familial hair loss is the most common cause of hair loss. The genetics inside the person have the inclination to lose hair does not matter either from one or both of the parents. This is called male pattern baldness of female-pattern hair loss. The medical full term of this category of hair loss is also known as androgenic alopecia. Shrinking follicles produce thinner hair and in the later time none at all. One may lose hair in the region circle of the hairline especially around the forehead and face. By applying curling irons or dyes continually would also effect in the person to lose hair. Hair will usually grow back when these activities are stopped.



Alopecia areata which means autoimmune disease in which the resistance bodily system attacks hair follicles that later would produce circular patches of hairless part on the area of the body or in the scalp. Severe cases involve many bald patches of hair or complete loss of hair on the scalp or body. Hair usually grows back within one year without treatment. One should remember that only small percentage of people, with that condition affected may never have the chance to regrow their hair back to normal. Diseases such as lupus, syphilis or cancer, in this condition the hair would grow back on its own although treatments are highly recommended. It’s a matter of time for the hair to grow back after they stop using the medication or when the treatment is over. Another important cause of hair loss is poor taking of nutrition, most importantly lack of protein or iron in everyday food. Hair will grow back to normal when these nutritious materials are taken properly. Trichotillomania is a compulsive behavior in which a person pulls hair from the scalp, eyelashes or from eyebrows. Mounting of tension develop in a person before he or she pulling the hair and this act will make them to feel relief afterwards. Changes in hormone levels like childbirth, taking birth control pills or changes in women’s menstrual cycle can also affect the hair growth and it lead to hair fall.
